Brilliantly British Bluebells

Hey remember me?
I'm sorry it's been so long, had to take a break for a while. A lot has happened since I last posted however I won't bore you with the details, just needed to take some time to recover and revive!
Finally getting back on track I feel like now is the right time to get back on the blogging band wagon!

May 2017... how are we here already? I must admit May is one of my favourite months, the transition stage from Spring to Summer, teasing us with a few hot days, and a taste of what's to come (hopefully); we all know a British Summer well enough by now! It is also the month of the Bluebell, a wild flower which I have always loved. For the past few years I'd been meaning to visit a bluebell wood so taking advantage of the lovely weather we had earlier this month decided to head to Lodge Hill Bluebells.

The set up they've got is very quaint and understated, with a small cafe in a Gazebo serving drinks, cakes and ice-cream with straw bales and tree stumps scattered around the field as rustic tables and chairs; such a typically British scene!

The walk through the woods was just like something from a fairy tale, surrounded by thousands and thousands of Bluebells blanketing the floor and the most beautiful floral scent you could imagine.

This truly is English beauty at its finest! I feel that sometimes us Brits forget about the beauty of our own landscapes and nature, not paying attention to whats right on our doorsteps.

I really hoped you enjoyed my post, get yourself out there and enjoy the last of this years bluebells.
Until next time!
xx
